Reviews for annelies
Review highlights
Based on 1,740 reviewsReviews for annelies highlight its reputation as a popular brunch and coffee spot in Berlin, praised particularly for its flavorful pancakes and well-crafted sausage and cheese dishes. Customers appreciate the cozy indoor seating, often recommended to avoid outdoor nuisances like bees. The menu, though limited in variety, consistently delivers high-quality, tasty options that appeal to both locals and tourists alike. Friendly staff and efficient service further enhance the overall experience, despite occasional wait times during peak hours. The café’s vibrant atmosphere and reliable food quality make it a favored destination for breakfast lovers seeking a satisfying meal in a casual setting.
An excellent spot for Brunch, the menu is small but the dishes are all tasty. I highly recommend the sausage & cheese sandwich, as well as the Pancakes. If you're going on a weekend, do expect around a 30 minute wait, they do not take reservations. The staff is friendly and the service is great. One thing to note, I highly recommend sitting indoors, as the bees outside are absolute pests.
The buttermilk pancakes really smell wonderful and super sweet tasteful. Coffee here is not bad, better combo with pancakes. The sausage sandwich is much more recommended, fluffy scrambled egg and juicy sausage patty, a big mouthful reward for breakfast lovers. Reminder: this is a hotspot for tourists from Asia, and you will see a lot of Asian tourists chatting around you. So get prepped to queue up for seats if you try to get here after 11:30AM.
Food and service was good. We went for breakfast and they have good breakfast options. Pancakes look really good. Indoor seating should be preferred as we got our table outside due to rushy hour and there were too many flies and bees which ruin the experience.
One of the best restaurants in Berlin. I’ve been here three times, each time with different people, and they all agreed with me. The pancakes and cheesecake have become my favorites – absolutely fantastic! If I lived closer, I’d come here every day
Went on a Wednesday early afternoon and didn't need to wait for a table. We got the latte, iced tea, pancakes, and egg, sausage and cheese muffin. Everything was very delicious. The sausage was perfectly spiced and meaty, and the bread was fluffy. Best pancakes ever!
The food looks good but taste is just alright. We tried the pancakes and sandwich - good for a breakfast place but a bit expensive. Their coffee is amazing though.
Great breakfast! Go for the granola and stay for every other dish! Seriously - the lime and raspberry granola was outstanding. And my partner got an asparagus dish for breakfast that was really unique and tasty as well. Fast service and we got there early so there wasn’t any wait. When we left it was busier (11a or so)
